Gaylon Kent is an American writer living in Colorado. He is the author of the books The Regular Guys, Backstairs at the Monte Carlo: A Vegas Memoir!, and Criminals, Courtesans, and Constables under his own name, plus assorted works under pen names. At gaylokent.net he writes the daily features The Diary of a Nobody and The Daily Dose and, in football season, The Bottom Ten.

Gaylon has been the Colorado Libertarian Party’s nominee for both the United States Senate and House, is a two-time Harry Wendelstedt School for Umpires graduate, and is a retired high school sports official. Gaylon served on an old diesel submarine in the US Navy and served multiple terms as commander of Colorado American Legion Post 44 and District 14 and currently commands Sons of the American Legion Squadron 89. He is originally from Los Angeles.
